OMG whoa happy self.
In no particular order:

43992 / 40000 words. 110% done!

This is the longest hing I've written by almost 20k, guys, whoa. And it needs to be combed through and edited, and I'm sure the people who have agreed to beta it are going to hang their heads and moan about the ending, but. But it's done!

-Got my flu shot, and with my immune system being what it is (Swiss cheese, mostly), I've gotten somewhat sick. Not the full-fledged flu, but the coughing and sneezing, sore throat, fever, general cotton-wool-for-brains type of thing. This is why the betas are going to wring their hands at me, I think, because I can only imagine the kinds of typos I spat out in the last 5k or so.

-My gram is home from the rehab place, and has been for about a week and a half now. She's a lot stronger than she's been in a while, which is great, and she's actually going to get her knees replaced, which is incredible. We've been trying to get her to do it for years and she's always said no, but someone in the rehab center talked her into it. \o/

-I had other things to say but it's kind of overwhelmed by my complete inability to multitask at the moment, so I'll just flail over here in my corner for a bit longer and wish you all a good night.

Hey you finished! That's awesome and 110 percent done :)
Great news about your gram...I've been trying to get my grandmother to get her knee replaced for *years* with no luck.

Feel better; the same thing happens to me whenever I get my flu shot. I anticipate getting sick now and get my shot on Friday so that I have the weekend to recover :(
Kisomehowunbroken on November 12th, 2011 05:09 am (UTC)
Oh, getting sick from the flu shot is completely expected. I just whine about being achey and feverish for a few days after, heh, but I knew it was coming. Beats the flu by leaps and bounds, though :)

And thanks! I'm so excited that I finally finished it, hehe :)
Ellelegalliquid on November 12th, 2011 05:22 am (UTC)
See, I have so many family and friends with extra-strength!immune systems who *never* get sick. So they think that anyone who gets sick from a ~shot~ has a wimpy immune system, (which is probably true in my case) and so I have to whine in secret lol.
Kisomehowunbroken on November 12th, 2011 05:47 am (UTC)
Hehe, feel free to whine about that here. My immune system is more of a theory than an actual working thing, so I get sick a lot. I can't remember a time when the flu shot didn't put me down for a few days. We can commiserate :)

I know I've already said this a few times, but heeee, so excited for your fic. Well done for finishing it!

Glad to hear your grandma is doing better, that's great. I remember us trying to convince one of my grandmothers to get her knee replaced... it took us years, too. But in the end, it all worked out for the better.

Hope you'll be feeling better ssoon *hugs*
Kisomehowunbroken on November 12th, 2011 04:38 pm (UTC)
Thank you thank you! :D :D

She needs to get both replaced, but the doctor wants to do them one at a time, so they'll be spaced out next year. I think he secretly wants to do her hips, too, but we'll see if he can talk her into that, haha.
